It has now been nine months since Anthony Matthew arrived filling our lives with an immense joy. As parents, we feel absolutely blessed having him with us, complementing our family. We cannot begin to imagine our life without him! His presence is beyond what words can describe.

A similar thing happens
when we try to explain the presence of Holy Trinity: The Father, the Son, and
the Holy Spirit. It is a doctrine which is hard to describe with words but can
easily be understood with the heart as we contemplate the
mystery of God’s presence, power, and love in our lives.

Although the last couple of weeks have not been easy for anyone, we have been able to witness the power of the Spirit through so many different acts of love, courage, compassion, and kindness. As we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Trinity, we have a wonderful opportunity to welcome the Holy Spirit into our hearts and lives and to ask God how, within our homes, we can fulfil our call to love and to serve others.

For me, it represents a time to continue my journey and resume my role as Pastoral Associate for St Wilfrid’s Parish in Widnes. I am so thankful for the continuous love, support and prayers received throughout this new stage in my life.

We might not
know exactly what will happen during the coming months. As we prepare ourselves
to go back to our new normal, may we be able to recognise God’s presence in our
lives and in our hearts. Let us pray so we may always find ways to reach out,
comfort and support one another. We pray for our parishes, for our communities,
for our world so we may continue to grow in love, respect, unity, and joy.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

15,16,64

post-638","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-god-in-our-time","category-reflection","category-trinity-sunday
["GET
