2020 is the \u2018Year of the Word\u2019 in the Catholic Church in England and Wales \u2013 to celebrate, share and live out faith through deeper Scriptural engagement. Dioceses have taken on different projects as part of this initiative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here in the Archdiocese of Liverpool, our Pastoral Associates have been working collaboratively with parishioners and the Formation Team to provide family friendly, fun and heartfelt reflections and activities all focused around the Word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This Sunday morning worship comes from the Diocese of Leeds on BBC Radio 4 where Priests and Parishioners have been exploring the \u2018Word Unlocked\u2019. Fr Michael Hall will lead the service, “A Word for All Seasons”, to reflect on the way that “the God who speaks” meets us in all the changing circumstances of our lives, especially significant at a time when many Christians will have been turning to the Bible for comfort over the last few months. We\u2019ll hear passages that have particular emphasis on the importance of the \u2018Word\u2019 of God.
Fr Michael Hall is Parish Priest in the West Yorkshire towns of Brighouse and Elland, and the homily will be given by Fr Henry Longbottom \u2013 the Diocese of Leeds\u2019 newest priest who ministers in the East Leeds Parish of St John Henry Newman.
