From the onset of our physical distancing and social lockdown, the image of a Rainbow has been a great icon of hope, safety and togetherness for us. I’ve always been a big fan of rainbows (and looking up at the sky in general) and when I see one in the sky, I’m always blown away by their beauty and magic.

So when a lot of people started showing their support to our amazing NHS and key workers by displaying rainbows in their windows, it made me feel thankful. Thankful for such a beautiful part of nature that we’re blessed with, being used to show support and thanks to all those people who are putting their own lives at risk to care for us and to protect us.

Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is Godā€™s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Another thing I’m thankful for is the power of music. You may have seen a few different news reports over the last few weeks about people coming together online to sing and play music. Music is a great source of support and comfort to me and many, many people, I’m sure you’ll agree.

So when I first watched this beautiful and amazing tribute from SEMusic to our NHS and key workers in this time of difficulty, it made me feel very emotional. The power of music, images of rainbows and people caring for each other. In all circumstances, this made me feel very thankful for the gifts people share with us, in all times. Not just now.
