Our Pastoral Associates have been very busy through lockdown. Here, Eleanor shares her thoughts while in France on some much deserved annual leave from working at home. And we also hear from Kenny, Helen, Jess and Jo in a video reflection below, about some of the work that goes on behind the scenes here on the God Who Speaks website for the Archdiocese of Liverpool.

Since lockdown what I’ve gotten out of being a part of the Archdiocese of Liverpool God Who Speaks website…

It has been wonderful to be a small part of the national God Who Speaks national initiative and to contribute in our own local way.

I have shared national resources in the parish newsletter to highlight scripture and the God Who Speaks initiative.

We have worked together as a team to come up with our local ’take’ on the God Who Speaks initiative that works in our Archdiocese.

We have worked together to discern what the God Who Speaks means during coronavirus In our parishes and archdiocese and the first –hand experience of being parish pastoral associates during this unprecedented time.

While we normally work separately in different geographical areas of the Archdiocese we are now seeing each other regularly on Zoom and working together as a team! This is very different! We have learned so much from each other and developed excellent teamwork. We encourage each other.

We meet weekly to share responsibility for the creation and management of website content. This is not one person’s job or one person’s slant.

We have linked with local ecumenical resources and local school resources to share creative initiatives in our own communities with the Archdiocese.

Through personal reflections we have engaged with scripture and pastoral issues experienced locally.
